Abstract initially gained prominence by introducing true collaboration on Sketch files through version control. During my tenure, I led design on Collections, a key feature enabling users to curate artboards, document decisions, and craft cohesive narratives through live collaboration and integrated markdown. When Abstract pivoted in 2020, I spearheaded the creation of Abstract Notebooks—a collaborative documentation platform for designers. Notebooks provided teams a familiar, word-processing-style interface to centralize requirements, reviews, and outcomes, while seamlessly syncing designs from Figma. Adobe acquired Abstract Notebooks in 2022, with the intent to integrate its core features into Creative Cloud.
